Partner Insight: Making Data Less Daunting by Syncing Clients, Communication

The Food Bank Council of Michigan is a unique organization composed of member regional food banks and their subsidiaries — each with unique strategies to respond to the specific needs of their community. These members provide over 3,000 local agencies with fruits, vegetables, and other grocery items in all of Michigan’s 83 counties. With the knowledge that data drives impact, they saw an opportunity to create a centralized data system while ensuring the autonomy of their partners’ workflows. 

By creating a partnership with Mobilize, the Food Bank Council of Michigan’s vision to unify data became possible. This dynamic cloud-based product enables multi-tiered organizations to experience digital transformation quickly through unified data intake, client communication, and standardized reporting processes.

Now, each partner organization can handle client intake and other data gathering processes in a standardized process: through digital forms sent straight to the person’s phone via text or in person via tablet/laptop, making intake and distribution safer and more efficient than ever. This automated process replaces manual intake processes, while data is centralized and updated in real-time. Using this system, the Food Bank Council of Michigan can view the impact of the organization including all partners at any moment. 

With a dynamic permissions set, each partner and pantry can have their own sub-account with varying access granted by the organization as well as individual user permissions. In order to retain autonomy, partners can add to templated forms and questions with data points that are collected across the organization and create their own collection of relevant data points unique to them.
